dont waste your money September 17, 2008 Michael Talarico lot of money for 2 pool seasons which equal about 8 months of use.Had 2 , just put the second in the trash
8 Years A Good Run June 26, 2008 J. Banning (Indiana) Got this pump when they installed our pool in 2000. Pump still works but the coating on electrical cord on top of pump is coming off and a safety issue. I was curious about the reviews that said their pump lasted a winter. We use several pumps for our construction company & no pump will last if it is allowed to freeze. These pumps are meant to be placed in the water & cover pumped off & then pump taken out. That is how we used ours in the winter & as I stated it lasted 8 years.
Very unreliable pump March 19, 2008 Thomas D. Hodgkiss (Memphis, TN) This is the third one of these pump's I have purchased in the past four years. The last two have failed with two months. I have since learned there are much more reliable pumps out there.
Same story - these are disposable (but not priced that way) February 16, 2008 M. Duffy 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Have been through two - they last 1-2 years. Looking for something better / cheaper.
I hope there's something better... February 6, 2008 A. Johnson (Lansdale, Pa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Our first one came with the house - it had seen use before we got it, then worked a winter and a half for us before giving up the ghost, and all of its oil into the collected water. Replaced it in January 2007. In February 2008 the replacement died. If these were $30-$40 you could consider them throwaway products. That not being the case, I'm looking for something better
